Winnipeg Black Bear – Small – Wonderlings

March back over 100 years with Winnipeg, the Canadian black bear plush with a London tale. Said to inspire a literary legend, did her name become world famous?

Inspired by the real Canadian black bear who won hearts at the London Zoo in 1924, Winnipeg is a plush Manitoba bear with roots in Ontario. Her name pays homage to her prairie hometown, while her journey is one of charm, and childhood wonder.
Originally purchased at a railway stop in Ontario, she became a beloved companion to young Christopher, who named his own teddy Winnie in her honour.
